Additional Services

Summer Social Butterflies Group:

During the summer, we offer group therapy to develop social language skills. We make our programs functional, natural, and fun! These groups have a ratio of 2:6. An individual approach is used while maintaining a group dynamic. A short questionnaire is to be completed regarding your child’s strengths, weaknesses, and what needs to be addressed. A new social skill is addressed each week while still incorporating the ones from the previous weeks. A progress report is completed at the end of the 8 week session. Learn more.

Therapeutic Listening:

Therapeutic Listening (TL) is a research based sensory integration treatment approach that combines the therapeutic benefits of music with sound technology.  This program utilizes electronically modified music programs to highlight parts of the sound spectrum that naturally trigger attention and activate body movement.  TL is used in conjunction with sensory integration therapy and has been shown to accelerate progress toward therapeutic goals. Learn more.

Handwriting Group:

Handwriting fluency is fundamental to learning because children think and write at the same time. When we teach children to write, we also teach them how to express themselves. If they struggle to form their letters, their ability to express themselves suffer. Children who don't master handwriting may be slow, sloppy, or illegible writers. Spelling and math are also affected. Learn more.

Keyboarding Group:

Feltz Therapy Services offers an Introduction to Keyboarding class for children 2nd through 6th grade. This class is taught by an occupational therapist who integrates on-keyboard practice with off-keyboard activities. The objectives include learning home row keys, keyboard functions, keyboard memorization, kinesthetic typing and an increase in speed of typing without looking at the keyboard. Learn more.
